HISTORY - Specialists Antenna Solutions
The original Lintec Antennas was established in 1976 to produce high quality marine antennas giving superior performance under all conditions. The Lintec Mariner whip and 9ft co-linear motor cruiser antennas were in great demand by Italian boat builders due to their high performance following exhaustive testing and approval by the government, and graceful styling. In addition, Lintec produced the one metre diameter crossed loop HF direction finder for use on all types of sea going vessel. STC Marine also selected this antenna for use with their equipment.

Lintec Antennas has also developed a system used by military forces and airlines within their life jackets and distress beacons, an area where reliability and performance is paramount. Thousands of these vital life-saving products have been produced since the late 1970's.
The company has been producing Antennas for the sound broadcast market for a number of years. Some may be familiar as they are extensively used by many manufacturers of sound broadcast equipment and major broadcasters, including the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 Racing. The antenna combine neat, compact design with excellent electrical properties including providing increased range to radio microphones, without signal quality reduction. These solutions are now available to all sound broadcasters and radio communication users and can be seen in many diverse environments such as the London Underground, high security units, and as part of fire and security alarm systems, in many prestigious locations.
1999 saw Lintec Antennas merge with VCS. Having luckily retained the Senior Technician, who has continued to design and manufacture the specialist antennas Lintec is known for, and with a growing work force to help, they are now designing antenna solutions for the new millennium. A recent problem solved by the team was for tracking animals through dense jungles, where ordinary tracking antennas have been easily damaged, bent or attacked by the environmental conditions. The innovative, low cost, Lintec solution is now deployed and producing results in excess of those originally specified by the client. This antenna is also now being used by television cable companies for the tracking of cables and faults underground.
